We backed up our 2 old laptops and transferred everything to our new laptops without a hitch. Just plug it in and it works (to backup - or course it takes a few clicks to restore, but easy enough).

ClickFree USB Transformer |

The ClickFree is easy to use. Just plug it in, and it will automatically backup common types of data files such as photos, Excel, and Word documents, and emails. You can also add specific file types, whole folders, or even whole drives to the list of things to backup.
The real test is of any backup is how well it retrieves lost data. One of the files of our Photoshop catalog of over 30,000 photos got corrupted. Not only was our catalog and data about our photos lost, but the corrupted file even kept Photoshop from opening.
I was easily able to use ClickFree to browse our backup drive, find the folder containing the photo catalog files, and restore only those files. Our catalog, along all our photo thumbnails and tags, is back exactly the way it was.

Worked the first time. Followed the quickstart guide for Vista. From then on it's truly 'clickfree', just plug in and the back up begins.
