Tattle-Trail Features
Tattle-Trail TTK 550 is a portable wireless towing monitor system that checks for excess vibration in towed vehicles. The transmitter (which mounts with suction cups to any smooth surface such as a windshield, mirror, counter top, etc. in the towed vehicle) is designed to sense vibration levels in 5th wheel and camping trailers, enclosed boats, trucks, cars or any other towed vehicles that provide protection from the weather and have windows to provide pathways for a wireless signal. The receiver (which mounts with hook/loop adhesive to the towing vehicle dashboard) is designed to be used in all towing vehicles including bus conversions, Class A, B, or C motorhomes, trucks and cars. In addition to the transmitter and receiver, the TTK 550 system includes two power cords with 12VDC plugs (cigarette lighter), storage carrying case, instruction manual and quick reference help card. In operation, the TTK 550 system continuously monitors for increased levels of vibration in the towed vehicle. Increased vibration may be the result of tire tread separation, loose or blown tires, broken suspension, loose hitch or ball or runaway vehicle. Any chassis vibration in the towed vehicle exceeding the user selected "normal" threshold (adjusted on the receiver while driving) generates both audible and visual alarms in the towing vehicle. The driver may then follow standard towing safety guidelines to stop and check the towed vehicle for problems, thereby reducing further damage and towing hazards. The Tattle-Trail TTK 550 provides peace of mind and allows the user to Tow with Confidence!

Question: January 21, 2011
Reviewer: John Frost from Mercedes, TX
I use a Blue Ox 'Patriot' braking system in my towed vehicle, which has a wireless remote (located in the coach) monitoring system as well. Will the wireless RF frequency of your remote device interfere with Blue Ox wireless remote, or vise versa?

Answer: John, the Tattle-Trail uses a frequency hopping system which means that it is constantly changing it's channel. This helps it be extremely resistant to interference as well as not interfering with other systems. You should therefore be fine with your "Patriot".

After using this device for two trips, I can say that I'll keep using it for quite some time. It was easy to install and use. Once installed, it's just a matter of plugging in and go.

Tattle trail October 21, 2010
Reviewer: BILL WELSH from COEUR D ALENE, ID United States
We purchased a system at the FMCA Rally in Farmington and drove home, over 1,200 miles, and the system worked without flaw.  Each time we drove over a "major" bump on the road, the system sounded, as expected.  When we parked in Walmart for the night, we left the system on, assured that if anyone messed with our toad, we'd know it...good product.

Great product! October 20, 2010
Reviewer: Kris Lanning from Ravensdale, WA United States
We've used our Tattle-Trail for two months now and covered close to 4000 miles.  We love the extra security the system provides while traveling down the road as well as while parked.  The range is surprising.

We haven't found any negatives with this system.
