Surge Guard makes a very good product.
I have purchased a few products from Eric n Tami at Techno RV, they sell quality products and have top notch support.
I purchased the Surge Guard along with the internal display and really like the fact that I can check the voltage and not have to go out side, we were at a campground and experienced a low voltage surge at night for three night's in a row, during the day the voltage was fine however at night it would drop low and my Surge Guard worked as designed and shut the power off to the RV saving us from any damage. I recommend this product.

34951
Ordered mine from technorv, received in good condition, while ready the info sent with unit under troubleshooting error codes, that a Surge Expened code means the unit has protected the rv, but the 34951 now has to be throw away and a new unit must be bought. I would think Southwire could have a replace part for the unit. There are units out there that have the ability to be replaced. Hopefully I have no surges. If I am reading the direction wrong let me know. But so far all good .

Wireless Display
The wireless display is great for when you are on 30 amp service which we are all the time in state parks. We monitor our usage and turn off things if we get close to 30 amps of use. This is the reason we went with the external protection instead of the internal one, along with the quicker access to power on this modle.

Must have for 50A Service
In my opinion, this unit is the best insurance money can buy for anyone with 50A service. Please don’t think I’m boasting, but I’m a power electronics engineering technician by profession so I have an intimate understanding of this stuff.
The biggest problem what I’ve seen at campgrounds is not necessarily voltage surges so to speak, but is a problem in the neutral connection which is more prevalent than one would think due to many, many pedestal electrical connections in any given campground. In a nutshell, what happens when you lose your neutral on a 50A service (most of which are two 120v lines which are 180 degrees out of phase from each other resulting in 240v between each phase) where you have two independent phases feeding your coach is that when a heavy load such as an a/c unit on one phase kicks in, it presents a very low impedance to that phase, causing the voltage to go very low on that phase. Damage may or may not occur to appliances on that phase. However, at the same time, the remaining voltage from the 240 volt total is applied to the other phase (much higher than 120V) and this high voltage will likely cause damage to anything on that other phase, especially anything with sensitive control boards and/or electronics.
This unit immediately senses this condition and disconnects your coach from all power before any damage can occur.
This unit also senses most other kinds of power irregularities that might happen to your coach and immediately disconnects you before damage can occur.
I’ve been putting mine through many testing scenarios since my wife and I just purchased a costly new fifth wheel and it has yet to let me down. I’m very impressed with its’ performance and after much research, I truly believe this is the best unit on the market today.
I opted for the wireless monitor which, I truly love being able to see what’s going on from inside my coach without having to go out to the pedestal.
Money very well spent in my opinion!...
Additionally, you won’t beat the price and support from TechnoRV! -
Good product
I recently purchased this for my 5th wheel. The first time I plugged it up, it detected a faulty ground in my RV cable. I double checked the cable with a VOM and the cable did have a ground issue. I also like purchasing items from Techno RV. They not only know their products but they stand behind them after the sale. Happy RVing
