I installed the camera yesterday on my Grand Design 397TH that is pre-wired for Fusion. I couldn't believe how easy it was to install. Admittedly the videos that Eric put together helped, but this is literally a plug and play system. Although I haven't really used it on the road, the initial set up and connection with the monitor in the truck 60+ feet away was great. Thanks TechnoRV.
I purchased the Vision Works HD Wireless Rearview Observation Kit and the side cameras for my 40’ RV. I installed the cameras. Which was pretty simple. But after that they haven’t worked. The rear camera is constantly disconnecting from the monitor. And when it does connect the picture is lagging or it will just freeze. I have to give Tecno RV credit. I contacted them about the problem and they got me in touch with Vision Works. Vision works sent me a new monitor and rear camera. After installing and pairing I got the same results. Vision works also sent me an attend cable to mount on top of my fifth wheel. But I went with vision works and not their competitors specifically because I didn’t want a system that required the cable antenna.
I had hoped this camera would serve as a rear view camera (replacing the rearview mirror) in my Class B camper van. But it has such a wide angle of view that it's only real use is as a backup camera for viewing close-in objects. As an always-on review camera, vehicles must be within 20 feet of your bumper to show in any detail. Vehicles 2 or 3 car lengths behind are too small to be seen distinctly. What would be ideal would be some type of "magnify" function in the monitor.
This was my mistake - I had a wrong expectation. The camera is well made, and the wireless connection to the monitor is flawless. But I find the cup holder mount is very fussy, and the instructions are very weak. For example, they state not all SD cards will fit. SD cards are a standard size - what's the issue, which ones are a problem?
If you need a backup camera, go for it. For any other use, forget it.
After many years of backing up the hard way, I decided to reduce our stress levels significantly. The Vision Works system is crystal clear, works as an observation system (with running lights on), and helps avoid stress when backing up. I wish we'd bought it years ago.
Easy Install, great clarity, great signal.
The Visionworks works as advertised, that is all I need to say. Thank you.
Me and my wife installed this together and it was simple. MY last system had wireless signal issues, but this system is no issues.
You can really tell the quality in the camera. Great picture, thanks TechnoRV.
Install could not have been any easier, and I am not even great at installing things. Been working great from day 1.
I am impressed.
